Discover picturesque Ait Bougmez and lovely Berber villages as you hike through the famous M’Goun Valley

The High Atlas is perhaps the wildest part of the Atlas Mountains, dominated by the peak M’Goun at 4068 metres above sea level (ASL). With stunning views of verdant valleys, gorges, remote villages and mountain peaks, trekking is the perfect way to discover the traditional local architecture and rural way of life. A favorite destination is the picturesque Ait Bougmez Valley with its traditional mud brick houses clinging to the majestic mountainsides.

From here there are views down into the M’Goun Valley and on a clear day we can see the village of Tabant, our destination.
